The Bible uses a great deal of military terms throughout its text. This may be obvious - since much of the Bible records the history of the Israelites: their struggles, wars, and geopolitical reality as a nation.
But...what do the old wars of Israel or their military structures (citadels, towers, and the like) have to do with us? How do understand the wars of the Old Testament or the military language found even in the Psalms - in connection to us? Does it have anything to do with us?
In this sermon, Pastor Kevin unpacks Psalm 48 - which describes the military city of "Zion" - to help us see how we can faithfully pray these ancient prayers.
